Dear Parents,

As some of you are already aware there are two children in our school who have symptoms of the COVID-19. The parents have taken advice from the NHS and are following this and are self isolating for 7 days.

Schools have been told clearly by the government that we should follow public health advice re closures and seek advice re any action. Today I have contacted Public Health who have told me that school should remain open and that we should continue with the action plan that we have already put in place.

The advice for all families is to continue with stringent hand washing for at least 20 seconds and if anyone in the family shows symptoms of a high fever and dry cough to self isolate for 7 days.

I appreciate this is a worry time for us all and I can only reassure you that I am doing everything in my power to protect our community. If the situation changes at all I will contact parents immediately.
